According to Mark Gurman‘s latest newsletter, Power On, there is news regarding the pricing of the iPhone 15 series. Gurman stated that the iPhone 15 series will have a “slight” price increase globally (excluding the United States), particularly for the iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max, due to the new design features such as the titanium alloy body for the iPhone 15 Pro and an upgraded camera system (periscope-style system) for the iPhone 15 Pro Max. However, in the US, the Pro and Pro Max models may also see a “slight” price increase.

Gurman mentioned that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will introduce the Dynamic Island feature, which is a major change. The non-Pro models of the iPhone 15 will also receive significant camera improvements and will feature the A16 chip from the iPhone 14 Pro.
Regarding the iPhone 15 Pro series, Gurman mentioned that the display frame will be reduced from 2.2mm to 1.5mm by using the low-pressure injection molding (LIPO) technology. This technology may also be applied to the iPad in the future. The iPhone 15 Pro will also be upgraded to the A17 chip based on 3-nanometer technology. Camera improvements may include updated lenses and sensors, and the Pro Max model may feature a periscope lens.
Finally, the Pro models were originally planned to have touch-sensitive feedback buttons, but they were replaced with standard volume and power controls. The mute switch will now be replaced with a customizable Action button.
