Apple’s second-generation Apple Watch Ultra is rumored to be releasing soon, with reports suggesting that it will feature a brand new “black titanium” casing. The news comes from Apple leaker ShrimpApplePro. According to the source, the new Apple Watch Ultra will still feature the current “natural” titanium finish, but will also introduce a new black titanium casing.
In addition, journalist Mark Gurman mentioned in the latest issue of his newsletter, Power On, that Apple had previously experimented with a dark titanium panel for the first-generation Apple Watch Ultra, but ultimately did not use it. However, Gurman suggests that it may appear in this year’s new model. The current Apple Watch Series 7 “Top” Edition already offers a Space Black titanium option.
Gurman also stated that both the Apple Watch Series 9 and the second-generation Apple Watch Ultra will be equipped with the S9 chip, which is developed based on the A15 Bionic chip used in the iPhone 13 series, resulting in a significant boost in speed.
